“Business days” are Monday–Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.

1) Order Processing & Verification

• Processing time (in-stock, parcel-sized items): typically 1–2 business days.
• Processing time (freight/LTL items): typically 2–4 business days to prepare for carrier pickup.
• Orders may be delayed for address verification, payment review, or fraud screening. If we need information, we’ll contact you at your order email.

2) Shipping Methods & Carriers

• Small parcels: UPS, FedEx, or USPS at our discretion.
• Large / heavy items (stoves, inserts, fireplaces, pallets): ship via freight/LTL with curbside delivery.
• We may split shipments at no extra charge so in-stock items arrive sooner (you’ll get separate tracking).

3) Shipping Rates & Free Shipping

• Rates are shown at checkout based on weight, distance, and service.
• Any free-shipping offers apply to standard ground or LTL curbside within the contiguous U.S. unless stated otherwise. Surcharges may apply to remote areas or special services you request (see Section 6).

4) Delivery Timeframes (Estimates)

• Ground (contiguous U.S.): 2–6 business days after carrier pickup.
• Freight/LTL: 3–10 business days after pickup, plus appointment scheduling with the carrier.
• Carrier delays due to weather, peak season, or events outside our control are not guaranteed.

5) Address Changes & Re-Routing

• Before shipment: we’ll update the address when possible.
• After shipment: carrier re-route/intercept fees may apply and can extend delivery times. Some shipments (especially LTL) cannot be re-routed once in transit.

6) Signature, Service Levels & Accessorials (LTL)

• Signature required for freight/LTL and may be required for parcel orders over $300 or at our discretion.
• Standard LTL is curbside at the end of your driveway. Drivers do not bring items inside.
• Liftgate service is included for most residential LTL deliveries unless otherwise noted.
• Optional services (inside delivery, stairs, limited-access delivery, narrow roads, ferry, appointment windows beyond standard) may incur additional fees—ask us before delivery.

7) P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, Remote & Restricted Locations

• We cannot ship LTL to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO.
• Remote locations (AK/HI/territories) or hard-to-reach areas may require extended transit and surcharges. Contact us for a quote.

8) International Shipping (if offered)

• You are the importer of record and responsible for duties, taxes, brokerage, and customs clearance.
• Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, shipments are DAP (Delivered At Place)—duties/taxes due on delivery.
• Returns across borders follow our Returns Policy and may have additional costs.

9) Freight/LTL Delivery — What to Expect

1. Appointment: The carrier will call/text to schedule a delivery window.
2. Curbside delivery: The driver lowers the crate to the curb/driveway (liftgate where available).
3. Inspection is critical:
   • Inspect the exterior packaging and product before signing the delivery receipt/BOL.
   • If there is damage, note specific damage on the BOL (e.g., “crate crushed, left panel dented”) and take photos.
   • If severe damage is apparent, you may refuse the shipment and contact us immediately.
4. Keep all packaging until your issue (if any) is resolved.

Pro tip: Have a second person available. Stoves are heavy; arrange safe handling and storage after delivery.

10) Damaged, Short, or Incorrect Items

• Visible freight damage: Note the damage on the carrier paperwork before signing, take photos, and email support@everwoodstoves.shop within 48 hours.
• Concealed damage/defect: Keep packaging, take photos, and contact us within 5 days of delivery.
• Short shipments / missing parts: Report within 5 days so we can ship what’s missing.
• When damage/defect is confirmed, we’ll repair, replace, or arrange a return at our expense as appropriate.

11) Lost or Stolen Packages

• If tracking shows delivered but you don’t have the package, check with household members and neighbors and look around delivery areas.
• Contact the carrier and then email us within 5 days; we’ll assist with a trace/claim.
• For parcel deliveries, we may require a police report or carrier affidavit before reshipment or refund.

12) Backorders & Pre-Orders

• We’ll display or communicate estimated availability dates for items not immediately in stock. Dates are estimates and can shift due to production or transport factors.
• You may cancel before shipment unless otherwise stated (custom/special orders may be non-cancelable once in production).

13) Refused, Missed, or Undeliverable Deliveries

• If you miss an LTL appointment, carriers may charge a redelivery fee.
• Refused or undeliverable shipments not due to our error are treated as returns (see Refund & Returns Policy); outbound and return shipping plus any restocking may apply.

14) Title & Risk of Loss

Except where prohibited by law, title and risk of loss pass to you when we deliver the goods to the carrier. Please inspect deliveries upon arrival and follow the steps in Sections 9–10.

15) Hazardous/Restricted Items

Some accessories/consumables may have hazmat restrictions or special handling. We’ll notify you if a chosen service is unavailable and offer alternatives.

16) Holiday, Weather & Force Majeure Delays

We’re not responsible for delays beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, labor actions, carrier capacity constraints, or peak-season surges.
